An honest exchange, from the start.
Key Travellers help us calibrate the things Australian travellers feel most: pacing, comfort, hotel choices, guide style, and the quiet details that make a complex journey feel easy.
That is the exchange: we offer 20% off our standard rates, plus flights reimbursed up to A$1,500 per person. In return, you share honest feedback and an honest written review after you return, and allow us to publish it — good or bad. The preferential terms are what we pay for that: clear-eyed insight that keeps our journeys aligned with Australian travellers' expectations.

For September & early-October 2026, the two departure waves have different planning windows.

Early-October departuresDepartures from 8 October, after the holiday, remain comfortably bookable through early September.
Australian ordinary-passport holders can currently enter China visa-free for stays of up to 30 days, so there is no visa-processing wait for these journeys. The practical limit is flights and leave, not paperwork. Entry rules can change; read our China visa and arrival guide before you book.

We deliberately schedule these departures around China's Mid-Autumn and National Day super-holiday — late September to 7 October, when much of the country travels at once — so our guests see China without fighting its biggest crowds.

Permission to use trip photosYou allow us to use selected photos from your journey. What that covers is discussed plainly with you before departure.

I was born in China and came of age in Australia. JadeDays grew from knowing both places from the inside — and from seeing how much calmer China travel becomes when someone can bridge the gap properly.

Who are you?
JadeDays is a founder-led Australian travel company specialising in private China journeys. We combine Australian accountability with people who know China from the inside. Jade Days Pty Ltd is registered in Australia under ABN 74 698 382 142.
Is China safe to travel right now?
Smartraveller currently advises Australians to exercise a high degree of caution in China. We do not soften that advice. Every JadeDays journey includes an English-speaking guide and local support, but you should read the current Smartraveller advice for China and decide whether the trip is right for you.
What exactly do I pay, and when?
Once your departure, availability and final quote are confirmed, an A$600 deposit secures your dates. That A$600 is credited toward your final journey balance. The remaining balance is due about three weeks before departure.
What if the departure does not go ahead?
These are private journeys, so they do not depend on filling a coach or a large tour group. We check hotels, guides and local arrangements before confirming your place. If JadeDays cannot proceed for reasons within our control, we will offer a reasonable alternative, credit or refund as required by law and the circumstances of your booking.
Am I obliged to write a positive review?
No. We ask for an honest review — good or bad. The value to us is knowing what genuinely worked and what should change.
